OpenGL 3D graphics, an Unreal blueprint game, AR furniture placement, A* and behavior trees: coursework from when I was learning game programming
Context
Coursework from 2020 through the first half of 2021 in the game software department. The images and GIFs are the ones I compiled for a job portfolio in June 2021. This is a record of what I tried building rather than a code showcase.
3D Graphics Programming (OpenGL, spring 2020)
Matrix transforms, camera, lighting and textures implemented week by week on GLFW, GLEW and GLM, submitted with hand-drawn transform-matrix notes. The final rendered a textured 3D object with rotation and lighting.
Game Engines and VR (Unreal, fall 2020)
A final game made only with blueprints: a custom character, HP and MP, AI enemies and an AI boss with animation and control, portals, heal packs, obstacles and traps, and respawn after death. About thirty blueprint captures remain in the submission.
XR Content (Unity AR Foundation, early 2021)
An AR furniture-placement app from an intermediate XR content academy. Furniture (table, chair, cat tower, refrigerator and more) is placed on a detected floor plane, with rotate, recolor, save and load in the UI.
Game AI and Physics
A* pathfinding on a grid map around obstacles, a Seek behavior tree, and a physics midterm. The repositories lived on GitHub Classroom and are archived now.
